NIU Track & Field 2nd Place Finish at Chicagoland Championships

This has been a very very very busy week for me, so sorry for the lack of updates! At least I turn 20 this coming Thursday! The Northern Illinois University Women's Track squad took second at this weekend's Chicagoland Championships at North Central College. The Lady Huskies won five events, finished 2nd in six events, and scored 139.5 points as a team, only 2.5 behind the winner, DePaul University! 22 colleges from the Chicagoland area competed in the meet.

An update on the Bristan Kelley football experiment, the coaching staff has moved him to defensive end from tight end. With all the injuries on the defensive line last year, the coaches wanted to see if the 6' 6" 245 pounder could play the end. The link for the Daily Chronicle article also has some good information on former Huskie two-sport athletes.
